Package Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrival and Transfer to Gangtok

Our representative will be there to receive You at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) – You will be assisting for the transfer to Gangtok – Gangtok the capital of Sikkim Suits all from tranquility to adventure, land of monastery, mystic rituals & festivals at an height of 1670 meters / 5480 feet and is the most visited spot of India. It is one of the most beautiful town with varieties of Rhododendron, Orchids and butterflies - Nearly 135 kilometers 4 ½ - 5 hours drive – Check into hotel – Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center - Over Night stay at Gangtok.

DAY 2 Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Full Day)

Morning breakfast at hotel – Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir nearly 40 kilometers and 2 hours drive along the Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary, the home to the red panda and the blood pheasant with Rhododendron and other alpine trees along the road - Situated at an elevation of 3753 meters / 12310 feet - The Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet deep - Generally covered in snow for most of the year the year – This lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds – Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for all - Nathu La Pass to Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometers and is optional - Back to Gangtok - Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center - Over Night stay at Gangtok.

DAY 3 Transfer to Lachung

Morning breakfast then around 10 AM drive to Lachung via Chungthang – Lachung is 125 kilometers, 5 – 6 hours – Lunch at Chungthang nearly 2 ½ – 3 hours of drive from Gangtok - Lachung situated at an altitude of 8600 feet - On the way enjoy a few wonderful locations like Tashi View point, Kabi Lungstok, Naga Waterfalls, Twin Waterfalls, Bhim Nala Waterfalls and the confluence of Lachen chu and Lachung Chu at Chungthang - Lunch will be served at Namok - The road leads through Rhododendron plants of the Singha Forest Reserve extended up to the Tibetan Plateau - Picturesque landscape, snow peaked mountains, flowing rivers blooming rhododendrons - During April / May / June one can find the riot of colours as Rhododendrons, Primulae and many other Alpine Flowers are in full bloom – Guest are expected to reach Lachung at late afternoon or early evening – Check into hotel – Evening free to stroll up to Lachung monastery – Night halt at Lachung.

DAY 4 Lachung Sight Seeing

Morning breakfast - After breakfast leave for Yumthang nearly 26 kilometers and is an hour drive - Yumthang valley is situated at an altitude of nearly 11800 feet with the river Lachung Chu flowing through the valley - Yumthang valley, hot spring, Yumey Samdong and Katao are nearby places of tourist Interest - Lachung is most sought after by tourist and the valley is either snow covered or the blooming Rhododendron always enhance the beauty of the place - On the way from Yumthang one may visit the famous hot spring known for its curative properties - Yumthang is a large valley surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends and the cold desert starts – In the winter months there is snow all around and the snow clad mountains adds to the beauty - Check into hotel – Evening free to stroll up to Lachung monastery – Night halt at Lachung.

DAY 5 Transfer to Gangtok

After breakfast leave for Gangtok - On the way guest can stop between Singhik and Mangan – Return journey is from Lachung via Chungthang – Gangtok is 125 kilometers, 5 – 6 hours – Lunch on the way – If the weather is good and sky is clear one can get to see the Himalayan range with the prominent Khangchendzonga peak - The location on the way offers majestic view of mount Pandim, mount Kabru, mount Simvo, mount Jopuno, mount Khangchendzonga, mount Siniolchu and other peaks and the road side is wooded Rhododendron forest generally blooms during spring - Back to Gangtok - Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center - Over Night stay at Gangtok.

DAY 6 Departure – Gangtok to Siliguri

Morning breakfast - After breakfast transfer to Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) - Nearly 135 kilometers 4 ½ - 5 hours drive – Guest are advised to start early and not to rush - Forwarding Journey.

How to Book this Package?

To book the package as of now you need to pay 30-50% of the total package cost as advance and rest you need to pay 3 days prior to your check in or at the time of check in. Once we receive the 30-50% of the package amount, confirm hotel vouchers will be issued & mail to you whose print-out copy you need to carry while travelling. Confirmed vehicle details (Driver / Vehicle No) will be intimated 3 days prior to your check in.

Important Things to Note & Documents Required while Travelling to Sikkim:

  • Every guest must carry 06 passport size coloured photographs along with their Photo-ID proof (i.e. Driving License, Passport, Voter-ID & Aadhaar Card & School ID Card for children) in original and 2-3 Photocopies. Pan Card is not valid since it does not carry address. These documents are required to obtain the permit for Nathulla Pass / Changu Lake [Tsomgo Lake]/Baba Mandir in Gangtok. And the same is applicable to the permit for Lachung in North Sikkim.
  • During months of April-May-June, weather shall be very pleasant with clear sky and occasional rainfall.
  • Temperature April – June - During day time (max 25 °C) & bit cold during night (12 °C). In North Sikkim (Lachung) the temperature drops to 12 °C max and 06 °C min.
  • Guest needs to carry light woolen & one heavy woolen if going North Sikkim (Lachung / Lachen) & Changu Lake. Luggage should be minimum as all the luggage stored in the overhead carriers of vehicle and covered with tarpaulin sheets.
  • On arrival in Gangtok (the capital of Sikkim) guest will be dropped at the local stand outside main city where the local taxis will be arranged to transfer guest to their booked hotel. Traffic system in Gangtok is very strict compare to other cities to avoid unnecessary traffic jams on road. Large vehicle (i.e. coach) are not allowed to enter city between 8 am to 6 pm therefore local taxis such as Maruti Van are used to tranship the guests to the hotel (only 04 people can accommodate in one van).
  • Normal Check in 1200 hrs and checkout time is 1200 hours at hotel
  • Night life is minimal as most of the shops close by 2030 hrs.
  • Transportation will not be provided for personal use like shopping, restaurant use etc. Vehicle will be provided as per itinerary for sightseeing and intercity transfers only.
  • North Sikkim (Lachung / Lachen etc.) is a very remote area surrounded with small hamlets, beautiful valleys and people here are very simple living. Power cuts, phone network problems are very frequent. Tourists will get only basic facilities in hotels and we recommend not to expect any luxury as both are very remote areas.
  • Guest can ask for wakeup call at hotel reception
  • Heater is available at hotel on direct payment basis only.
  • Mattress will be provided as extra bed. Cot is not available at most of the hotels.
  • No star category hotels are available in this region (North Sikkim – Lachung, Lachen) like metro cities.
  • Drivers come to drive from remote places. Maximum of them are not properly educated. Tourists are requested to be polite with them and refrain from using any foul language to avoid any hassle during a journey.
  • Every additional service which is not mentioned in itinerary and proposal such as sightseeing, vehicle retention or any up gradation there will be a supplementary cost which should be bear by guest directly.
  • Sightseeing point remains closed on State Government & Bank National Holidays. The points which are closed ON SUNDAY, STATE GOVERNMENT & BANK NATIONAL HOLIDAYS are Research Institute of Tibetology, Handicraft & Handloom Showroom and Flower Show in Gangtok & Tibetian Refugee Self Help Centre in Darjeeling. ON THURSDAY, STATE GOVERNMENT & BANK NATIONAL HOLIDAYS are Padma Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute in Darjeeling.
  • People with knees, heart & blood pressure problem & having children below 05 years should take special care while going to Nathula & Yumosomdong (Zero Point) as it could be of high risk & medical facility are also very poor.
  • High Mountains sightseeing like Changu Lake, Yumthang Valley Excursion has to start early in the morning so that you come back early. This is designed for your security as in the afternoon the weather gets cloudy & foggy throughout the year.
  • There will be no refund of any unutilized service in part or in full what so ever may be the reason. (In this scenario alternate sightseeing activities use to be provided as per the availability and weather conditions)
  • Prices are subject to change with any increase in the cost.
  • Rates include only those items specified in your itinerary.
  • In case of amendment in local Government taxes, or any fuel hike, we reserve the right to adjust the tour price accordingly.

Important Informations About Transport :

  • The guest should always keep cool with the drivers as they are not tourism educated and come from different remote villages.
  • As there is shortage of space for car parking in the entire Sikkim & Darjeeling region – guest will have to wait at the Lobby in time for the vehicle to start their sightseeing / transfers.
  • As most of the services are on point to point basis, it is obvious that the drivers would also keep changing. Keeping this in mind please ensure that you do not leave your belongings in the vehicle as there is very little possibility of getting them back. Always check your baggage before leave the vehicle.
  • In this sector the same vehicles will not be providing for the entire tour, it will be changed sector-wise.
  • If any tourist spot do not complete which falls on closing day & if they wants to do the same on next day then they have to pay the extra cost for the vehicle.
  • If guests want any changes in their sightseeing schedule (if it possible or feasible) they should be informed to our executive/local representative 1 day earlier before 16:00 hrs, after that no changes are allowed. If the guest inform after 16:00 hrs it will be consider as a cancellation with no refund or guest will pay extra cost for reschedule the sightseeing.
  • In Gangtok outside vehicle are not allowed to enter in the city. Only local taxi can roam around within Gangtok city. All outside vehicle will pick up & drop them from Deorali taxi stand. We provide local taxi for pick up & drop from hotel to taxi stand. For this reason guest have to wait sometime in the taxi stand.
