Wei Sawdong Falls

Wei Sawdong Falls is a stunning three-tiered waterfall near Cherrapunji (Sohra) in Meghalaya, India, known for its beautiful bluish-green pools. The name comes from Khasi words meaning “square-shaped pool”.

Location: The falls are about 60 km from Shillong and 12 km from Cherrapunji in the East Khasi Hills district. It is close to Dainthlen Falls.

Trekking & Safety Tips:
The trek to Wei Sawdong Falls is challenging, with steep sections and bamboo ladders.

Difficulty: The trail is steep and can be slippery, requiring good fitness. The descent and ascent each take about 20-30 minutes or more.

Footwear: Wear sturdy trekking shoes.
